Sensei Chris Leventis has over 30 years experience in the Martial Arts collectively. 27 of those years has been spent studying and teaching the Art of Nihon Goshin Aikido (Japanese Self Defense Aikido). Under the direct mentorship and instruction of Shihan Steven Weber, director of the Nihon Goshin Aikido Federation, Mr. Leventis is a certified instructor of the art and holds the rank of San-Dan (third degree black belt) and is the Secretary for the NGA Federation.
Mr. Leventis also has training and experience in Tang Soo Do, Hapkido, Judo and is currently active in Filipino Combat Systems under Tuhon Ray Dionaldo and Guro Ray Norton and in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under Professor Gary “Muchacho” Recupero.
Sensei Leventis firmly believes that constant training in other systems and styles bring a broader perspective and evolution to our core art Nihon Goshin Aikido. “If we are unwilling to test ourselves and what we believe to be the truth by exposing ourselves to other truths, then we are most assuredly blinded by the perceived reality years of training can sometimes bring”. Further…”At this Academy we are constantly evolving and testing to bring you the very best self defense I can possibly teach you.”
Success in the Martial Arts is simple - Sign Up, Show Up and KEEP Showing Up! It's that simple. - Sensei Leventis
